SANCHINARRO CULTURAL CENTER. MADRID
When photograph and painting cross paths, a dialogue emerges between these two languages.
Miscelánea aims at adding value through the view of the photographer Luis Rivera and the oil-paint interpretation by Marian Zurita, together with other artists from Marta Catalá’s workhop.
valorar la imagen a través de la mirada de Luis Rivera como fotógrafo y la interpretación al óleo de Marian Zurita, junto a otros artistas, en esta exposición colectiva.
There are many ways in which a work can be seen and understood, and this exchange of ideas creates a dynamic that enriches both the photograph as well as its oil-paint interpretation; paintings based on photographs that give away personalities as varied as diverse are the participants in Marta Catala’s workshop.
The photographer works on the image of the city and of unique places, and shows us through his work what he cares about, which is the life of people in the city and the loneliness of the details when nobody is watching.
Miscelánea is a project that looks for “no-places” where architecture, geometry and light play an essential role to build a stage in which spontaneous characters move freely. Images that captivate the viewer, that drag the viewer inside the work and make him or her be part of the scene.
